SRO Motorsports Australia is thrilled to announce its provisional GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS calendar for 2026, with six rounds set to make up the bumper season.
With the provisional calendar having been announced as part of SRO Motorsport’s global calendar reveal at the famous CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, GT World Challenge Australia will lead the Shannons SpeedSeries for its first five rounds in 2026, including a historic visit to the Northern Territory.
Kicking off the year with a grand return to Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in March before rounds at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park and Queensland Raceway in May and June, GT World Challenge Australia will then head to the Top End for a round at the famous Hidden Valley Raceway.
A highly popular circuit amongst motorsport fans around the country, it will be the first time in GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS history that it holds a round at Hidden Valley.
Following the event in Darwin, GT World Challenge Australia will then head to Sydney Motorsport Park in September for its last appearance on the Shannons SpeedSeries bill for the year.
The sixth and final round of the season is yet to be confirmed and will be announced in the coming months, along with the finalised event details and dates.
GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS continues its 2025 season next month at Sandown International Raceway as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries’ GT Festival Sandown on July 25–27.
Fans can purchase tickets to the round via speedseries.com.au/tickets or watch the races live via the Seven Network or the GT World YouTube channel for international viewers.

Ben McMellan
CEO SRO Motorsports Australia
“We are extremely pleased to be able to unveil the provisional GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS calendar for the 2026 season as part of the global announcement here at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa,” said McMellan.
“It’s very exciting to be able to take GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS to Darwin for the first time in its history - Hidden Valley is a fantastic race track and the locals deserve more national level motorsport, so to be able to take some of the best racing categories up there is a big positive for all parties.
“Starting at Phillip Island is slowly becoming a tradition for the Shannons SpeedSeries, GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS and Monochrome GT4 Australia, so it’s great that we kick off the season there next year.
“At this point, we are still working towards confirming that final round and we have a few options as to where they might be, but I am confident that whatever we end up with be well received by all of our stakeholders.
“Releasing the calendar now allows us to get a head start on building the foundations for the season and our major stakeholders to begin their initial preparations for next year.”
