Scott Taylor Motorsport confirms 12 Hour return

Following its two rounds of Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS earlier this year, Scott Taylor Motorsport will again mount a serious attack on the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour.

Scott Taylor and Paul Morris took multiple wins in the Trophy Class Porsche 911 GT3R (Type 997), but the long-time supporter of Australia’s international endurance race will once again target victory in 2025.

The Porsche will be replaced by a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo to be shared by two-time Bathurst 12 Hour winner Craig Lowndes alongside Tickford Racing teammates Cam Waters and Thomas Randle.

The trio combined in the 2024 event where the team led 11 laps on the way to seventh at the finish, just 8s off the lead.

Team Owner Taylor is eager to bring the band back together for another tilt for victory.

“Team STM is proud to be once again contending for the 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour,” said Taylor.

“We thank Craig, Cam and Thomas for choosing to be part of our great team and of course appreciate Tickford and Red Bull - Triple Eight giving us access to these incredible talents.

“Behind the scenes there is an enormous group of dedicated people helping to bring this campaign together who include, but certainly not limited to amazing people such as Ash Seward Motorsport, Rebecca Taylor, Lara Lowndes, team STM and the list goes on and on of incredible people, can I say now a sincere ‘thank you’.

“We are proud to once again partner with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia to bring further awareness and stimulate conversation amongst our community on this topic, please remember to ‘Get Checked’.

“Remember to bring your cowboy hats everyone as we can’t wait to see you all back at the mountain!”

Just like in its last campaign, the Mercedes-AMG will feature support from the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and this has extended to it being the official charity of the event.

STM enjoys a long and successful history at Bathurst including contending for the outright victory in 2017 and a class win in the 2022 edition, with recent efforts being supported by Ashley Seward Motorsport.

The Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour is the opening round for the Intercontinental GT Challenge on January 31-February 2.
