Arise Racing GT returns Ferrari to the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour grid

Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS winning squad Arise Racing GT will return Ferrari to the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour grid for the first time since 2020.

The Western Australian-based squad has confirmed the entry of its pair of Ferrari 296 GT3s for the once around the clock international endurance event.

Liam Talbot and Chaz Mostert took two wins on the way to securing this year’s Fanatec GT Australia title to give Ferrari its first national crown since 2007.

Teammates Elliott Schutte and Jaxon Evans added another victory on the way to third.

Arise Racing GT will split its efforts by entering Pro and Pro-Am Classes for its Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour debut after scoring podiums at the Fanatec GT Australia Mount Panorama finale in November.

Arise Racing GT’s driver line-up for the event alongside other details will be released in due course, with team principal Jordan Oon eager to build on its successful Fanatec GT Australia campaign.

“The 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour has been the ultimate goal of the Arise Racing GT program from the very start, and given Ferrari’s previous 12 Hour success, we feel like we have massive shoes to fill,” said Jordan Oon, Arise Racing GT Team Principal.

“The car performed brilliantly at the final GTWCA round, which is credit to Ferrari and Oreca for producing such a great package in the 296, and we cannot wait to push it to its limits in one of the most demanding endurance events in the world.

“We’re in the final stages of securing some fantastic driver lineups and are thrilled for the opportunity to compete among the best GT3 Teams from both Australia and across the globe. As always, I need to thank Lance East Exotics, and the team – their hard work and dedication have been the reason behind our success, now it’s time to take on Bathurst.”

Arise Racing GT is aiming to achieve Ferrari’s third victory in Australia’s international endurance race.

Maranello Motorsport scored both victories, the first in 2014 courtesy of Craig Lowndes, John Bowe, Mika Salo and Peter Edwards in the Ferrari 458 GT3.

Three years later, Maranello tied up with Triple Eight Race Engineering to take the victory as Lowndes was joined by Jamie Whincup and Toni Vilander in a 488 GT3.

The 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour doubles as the opening round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge on January 31-Febraury 2.
